Industry Representation

Cheryl works as a consultant with businesses, organisations and charities across the industry, helping improve and develop their understanding of the needs of business owners, and to help educate horse and yard owners about expected best practice and sustainability in terms of yard, equine and client management. Our projects and consultancy in recent years has developed working relationships with numerous equestrian bodies across the UK, as well as develop a large network of yard owners and equestrian professionals. Cheryl is regularly approached by industry and government bodies for her take on industry affecting developments such as proposals on licensing, equine identification and welfare legislation.

BETA Membership

Since 2022, LiveryList has been an Associate Member of the British Equestrian Trade Association (BETA). BETA is a member body of British Equestrian, and is recognised and accepted as the official representative body for the equestrian trade by the Government and leading equestrian organisations. As well as granting LiveryList an internationally recognised and respected membership, BETA lobbies on matters of policy, legislation and regulation, and being members helps represent our interests throughout the industry in the broader business environment.

Since 2022 Cheryl has been an Equestrian Business Writer for SEIB (South Essex Insurance Brokers), helping the insurers better understand the livery industry and the needs of their potential clients, to help create and share relevant content to their clients and a wider audience on a range of livery-related topics including insurances, viability and security. This also saw us take a place on the judging panel for the 2023 Yard of the Year Awards held in conjunction with SEIB, British Equestrian and Horse and Hound, and recognising excellence in the industry.

Campaign Ambassadors

LiveryList are also proud brand ambassadors for Strangles Awareness Week, KBHH Keeping Horses Healthy and Equine Flu Awareness Weeks, British Equestrian Equine Health Week and the BETA Summer of Safety. As well as believing that campaigns and industry focuses such as these can help underpin and spread the word of the fundamental best practices of yard management and equine welfare, they also help us provide support and guidance to our network of yard owners.

Industry Network

In 2016 we created the Facebook group Livery Yard Owners UK: Discussions and Advice, which now stands at almost 3000 verified members, and offers real time guidance and support to the owners of equestrian establishments across the UK and beyond. This not only allows a unique space for yard owners to access information and guidance, with many being directed to the Hub for appropriate resources, but also creates a unique group of industry professionals to gain a better understanding of their needs, struggles and thoughts across the broad spectrum of yard management.

We offer a multitude of resources in all aspects of the industry from Routine Equine Care to Livery Contracts, Licensing Guidance to Client Management.
