SEIB Launches Yard of the Year Awards 2023

20 November 2022

For the fourth year, SEIB are celebrating excellence in competition, teaching, training and horse care with the launch of their 2023 Yard of the Year Awards, and this year, they’re delighted to announce that both Horse & Hound and British Equestrian have come onboard and will be working with them to find the best of the best.

There are six categories this year:

  • Best DIY Livery Yard (over 80% of the yard needs to be DIY)
  • Best Full Livery Yard (over 80% of the yard needs to be full livery)
  • Best Large Riding School (over 20 school horses)
  • Best Small Riding School (20 and under school horses)
  • Best RDA Centre (including yards with the accessibility mark)
  • Best Competition Venue

So, if you run a yard, or just love yours, why not nominate them to win an SEIB Yard of the Year award? It’s really simple to nominate, just click on the link below, complete the form below and let SEIB know who they are and why you think they’re special.

What will the yards be judged on?

Best DIY Livery Yard & Full Livery Yard: Judged on horse care, facilities, atmosphere, marketing and business acumen Best Large & Small Riding School: Judged on teaching, horse care, facilities, atmosphere, marketing and business acumen Best RDA Center of the Year (and yards with an accessibility mark): Judged on teaching, horse care, facilities, atmosphere, marketing and business acumen Best Competition Venue: Judged on facilities, atmosphere, marketing, business acumen and visitor experience

What happens when the vote closes?

When the results are in, the judges will review the entries and decide upon a shortlist in each category. Each of these yards will be invited to submit a short video of their premises and what makes them special. The shortlisted owners will be invited to the SEIB Awards in July 2023 where the winners will be announced.
