HEALTH & SAFETY AT WORK

This section provides guidance for owners and managers of equestrian establishments on the recruitment of part-time, full-time, temporary, or subcontracted staff. All guidance is free to access and sourced from reputable industry experts. Employment law and guidance change regularly, so yard owners and managers with employed or self-employed staff are encouraged to join the Equestrian Employers Association (EEA) for up-to-date guidance and resources. This includes access to tools such as the EEA Health and Safety Manual Creator and EEA Risk Assessment Creator, enabling the creation of bespoke and compliant H&S documentation for your business.

Content on the Yard Owner Hub is provided for guidance purposes only. Users are encouraged to consider their own circumstances and seek professional advice where appropriate for the management of their business and the welfare of their horses.

These resources are available free of charge to all, and always will be. All we ask is that if you use any of the documentation, or find the information contained herein useful, please consider adding your yard to LiveryList, and/ or making a secure donation to help cover the work and research that goes into providing these resources.
